Bless the LORD O my soul song about Jesus comes from Ps 103:1-2, the exact center of Bible verses

When you sing the song "10,000 Reasons (Bless the LORD)" by Matt Redman you are singing the center verses of the Bible at Psalm 103:1-2. Matt wrote the song from these specific Bible verses and likely did not realize he was using the exact center verses to help us worship the LORD Jesus Christ.

Psa 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, {bless} His holy name.
Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;

Is the Bible About Jesus?

If you put the Old Testament and New Testament together you have 31,102 verses in the King James and similarly structured Bibles (NASB, NIV, ESV...). This makes the 15551st and 15552nd verses the exact middle verses and they happen to declare for us to "Bless the LORD". This is one great evidence the Old Testament and New Testament are two parts to a single volume which we call the Bible. These two middle verses show us both halves of the Bible speak to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Want more evidence the KJV bible is about Jesus? Only God could divinely inspire in multiple perfect locations it is about Jesus. Not only do the two center verses of the Bible (Ps 103:1-2) point to the LORD, but the exact center chapter also does the same. Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter of the Bible and the only chapter with just two verses. Not coincidentally, Psalm 117 is the 595th and exact center chapter of the Bible (1189 chapters).

Psa 117:1 Praise the LORD, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples!
Psa 117:2 For His lovingkindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD is everlasting. Praise the LORD!

Is the Bible about Jesus?

See the following Bible verses that together tell us the Bible is about Jesus Christ. It makes sense these above mentioned two centers of God's Word would point to Jesus.

Psa 40:7 Then I said, "Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
Luke 24:27 Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.
Luke 24:44 Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled."
John 5:39 "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
John 5:46 "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.
Rom 1:2 which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures,
Heb 10:7 "THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME (IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.' "

God is Good

Praise God! He has left these two great evidences anyone can confirm for themselves that Jesus is the promised messiah and Son of God. These two middle locations declaring to bless and praise the LORD could not be the center of the Bible had not the Old Testament and New Testament been brought together to form one single Bible we know as God's divinely inspired Word.

"10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)"

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes....
