It is impossible for anyone to at
first believe the Bible is perfectly numbered and organized in Book, Chapter
and Verse. From our human understanding there is no rational way to comprehend
that God would have created his word in a supernaturally perfect way. I
certainly did not believe it was possible for many months after I first began seeing
the clues that I could not easily dismiss as coincidence. History as we understand it says the Bible was
written by 40 or so authors over a period of 1500 years and that all the books
were taken from separate manuscripts that were later canonized in the 300s and
then arbitrarily numbered still hundreds of years later. The numbering was
thought to be an addition solely so men could reference and share the
scriptures. The history we know declares men numbered the Bible, but the
mathematically verifiable perfection of numbers can only be explained by being
the work of a supernatural creator. This article reveals some of the most
compelling evidences anyone can verify for themself that the numbering
perfection could very possibly be real.
I’ve been writing about the
perfection in Bible numbering (The Numeric Map) and the Redemption Pattern (a perfect
plan of salvation and a progression of number and symbol patterns found throughout
the Bible) since 2004 (more than seven years) and still today, to my knowledge,
there’s less than a handful of people that believe I’m likely correct in my
analysis, and none of these is excited enough to bother to try and use the
numbering to help them better understand the scriptures. I believe this is as
God intended. God will reveal this perfection when he is ready.
I believe God has an accepted
time when he will reveal the mathematical perfection of his word. My personal guess is that it may be part of
the reason Jews will one day come to believe Jesus is the messiah and the Only Son
of God. Just one example that might lead to this conclusion is that this
perfect pattern and numbering can find in the Old Testament and Torah and is
also found just as perfectly in the New Testament. When this realization one
day becomes commonly discussed public knowledge, the entire world will have an
opportunity to know that the Old Testament and the New Testament are two parts
to the entire volume of God’s Word and they both point to Jesus as Savior of
the World.
Before listing the compelling
evidences for the Bible’s numbering I’ve listed some of the major ways I
believe the Bible is perfectly structured. This list shows an incredible list
of numbers that can be found associated with every verse in the Bible. Only God
knows how deep this perfection goes but one way to imagine it is to consider that
there are ten or more different sequence numbers associated with every verse of
the Bible and when you compare the symbolism related to each of these numbers,
you can find the text of the verse somehow also related to all ten numbers.
Impossible for men, but nothing is impossible with God. Consider the following
ways the Bible is numbered…I believe one day every Bible will be printed with
many of these numbers associated with each verse. I have such a Bible available
on my website (http://www.amazingword.com/awbible_43_john.htm#John%203
is a link to John chapter 3, the 1000th chapter of the Bible).
- The numbers one to ten each have symbolic meaning that can be found everywhere they appear in scripture
- The text of every verse is directly related to the many numbers associated with the verse. Impossible thought: I can imagine that if we could understand the DNA-like algorithm of God’s numbering, the verses of the Bible might actually be reconstructed through numeric patterns.
- Chapter and Verse numbers have a direct symbolic relationship to the contents in their text
- The number of verses in a chapter in some way reflect a message in the chapter
- The number of chapters in a book in some way reflect a message in the book
- The number of the book in the Bible (1-66 & 1-57 full books) symbolically related to a theme found in the book
- Just a few of the numbers that intersect perfectly in every book, chapter and verse are:
The Sequence number of books in the Bible (1-66) (39th book last of OT, (40-1=39) Jews not done with wilderness wandering
The sequence number of full books in the Bible (1-57 that count books like 1st and 2nd Kings as a single book)
The chapter sequence number in every book (In Genesis 8 the Ark rested with the remnant of 8 saved)
The cross-bible chapter sequence number (1-1189) #1000 is John chapter 3 “for God so loved the World”
The verse number in every chapter (Lev 8:8 and Deu 33:8 both refer to spirit of God (Urim and Thummin)
The cross book verse numbers – The 666th verse of Matthew is Mt 20:18 “they will condemn him (Jesus) to death” (sin)
The cross Bible verse numbers (1, 31,102) --- The 7200th verse is the 72nd verse of Ruth that is in the 236th chapter (2x36=72) Ruth 4:9 “you are witnesses”
- The numbers found in the text throughout the Bible – Rev “12:6” …woman fled into wilderness for “1260”days…
- The position number in every list in the Bible The 6th commandment “you shall not murder”
- And on and on…The perfection of Biblical numbering seems endless
Some of the
most compelling evidences for a perfectly numbered Bible
Before I was absolutely
convinced the Bible has a structural and numerical perfection, I would have to
remind myself I was not crazy for thinking such an impossible thought. I would
go through a mental list of some of these evidences to quiet my doubts. I also
use items in this list to help others consider the possibility of the Bible’s
perfection of numbers and patterns.
- The Center of the Bible -- Psalm 117 is the 595th and exact center chapter of the Bible and is also the shortest and only two verse Bible chapter declaring “Praise the LORD”. An impossible to contrive significance of this chapter and should be pretty difficult for any reasoning person to assume it simply occurred due to coincidence.
- The 1000th Bible chapter -- John chapter 3 who many would agree might be the most popularly read chapter of the Bible and the one that has the primary verse on Salvation – John 3:16 “for God so loved the Word…”. This is the exact 1000th chapter and Josephus said number one thousand was God’s number of perfection. Another significance of a key Bible chapter that you would think would be difficult to quickly dismiss as coincidence.
- The 24,000th verse of the Bible is Matthew 24:42 “be on the alert, you do not know the Day”. Six different intersections of number 24 symbolism regarding the “Day of the LORD” (24 hours). . This count can be verified by anyone that cares to, and has been confirmed by a mathematician that the chances of all these number 24 items lining up on a single verse is less than one chance in 12,000,000,000 (12 billion. Statistically impossible.
- The 7200th Bible verse -- Number 72 and Witnesses -Ruth 4:9 -- Number 72 is associated with witnesses in scripture and two times 72 = 144 a number also associated with witnesses. In the 7200th verse of the Bible Boaz declares all with him are witnesses that he has purchased Naomi, Ruth and all their possessions. This verse directly about witnesses is the 7200th verse; the 72nd verse of the book of Ruth; is in the 236th bible chapter and 2*36=72; and is verse reference 4:9 which is 36 a multiple of 72. An incredible lining up of so many 72 related numbers in a single verse.
- Daniel 12:6 and 1260 days is 3.5 years or 42 months which is a time related to tribulation. There are many scriptures related to #1260 and #126 that seem to point to this period of time. The two examples I most often quote are Revelation “12:6” the woman fled into the wilderness for 1260 days and Daniel 12:6 “how long until these things…times, time and a half of time (3.5 years). Pretty amazing coincidences.
- The 500th Bible chapter -- The Jubilee chapter, Psalm 22 the 500th where Jesus pays for our sins--The year of Jubilee is every 50th year and 500 is an intense form of the number 50 thus pointing out with the cross bible chapter number that Jesus has freed us through his action on the cross. Jubilee is explained in Lev 25:10 'You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family. Psalm 22 is one of the most famous chapters in the Old Testament that point to Jesus on the Cross. Not likely coincidence that it is the 500th Bible chapter.
- 144,000 who go before Jesus -- The verse at Revelation 14:3 tells of the 144,000 who will be purchased from the earth at the Lord's return but it is the next verse that's more important and describes who these 144,000 are. Is it coincidence the verse is Revelation 14:4 (144) whose verse number matches those who it describes? These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These {are} the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb.
- The 70 weeks prophecy found in the 770th chapter - Jerimiah 25 is the 770th chapter of the Bible and the entire chapter is centered around the famous 70 week prophecy. Verses 11 and 12 specifically mention the 70 weeks.--Jer 25:11-12 'This whole land will be a desolation and a horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. v12 'Then it will be when seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,' declares the LORD, 'for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it an everlasting desolation.(NASB)
- The two exact center verses of the Bible are the first two verses of Psalm 103 both declaring “Bless the LORD”. In a similar way that the exact center chapter of the Bible Psalm 117 declares “Praise the LORD” twice, these 15551st and 15552nd verses are the exact center of the Bible’s 31,102 verses. Psa 103:1 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name”. Psa 103:2 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;”. That exact center verses of the Bible are the first two verses of a chapter that declares over and over again “Bless the LORD” is another impossible to contrive coincidence of the Bible.
- The 10,110th Bible verse - God turns time back 10 steps - To prove he is God, in a well known Bible passage God turns back time by moving a shadow on the steps back ten steps. The cross Bible verse number 10110 (10-1-10) is 2Kin 20:11 where Isaiah the prophet cried to the LORD, and He brought the shadow on the stairway back ten steps by which it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz. Given all the evidences shown on this page, do you suspect it coincidence this 10,110th verse happens to mention he turned back exactly 10 steps? The cross Bible verse number begins with 10, ends with 10, and has a 1 in the middle.
As I mentioned, I use
this list of verifiable facts to help remind myself and others that the
numerical perfection of the Bible should not be an idea so easily dismissed. I
have 1000s of other evidences that I can also cite, but these are good starter
evidences if you are curious at all if my claim the Bible is perfectly numbered
might be true. These evidences will not convince anyone of the perfection, but
I think they should give every believer a reason to seriously consider the
possibility.
These are great. I have found a few of these. Here's one...
ReplyDeleteDan 7:4 describes the 4 creatures that are the first 4 of 7 binds of a mans heart. Rev 4:7 describes the 4 creatures again as they are the first 4 of 7 seals that release a mans heart.

Very cool! Thanks for pointing them out. I'll record them in my notes.
