Post for Sept 30, 2011 (9/30) - Look at the Bible's 9:30 verses - The Jews did not know Jesus

We simply cannot imagine how it is possible that like referenced Bible verses could have a similar theme running through them, but the evidence declares the possibility and as we ponder it.  The facts demonstrating this overwhelm our "knowing" it cannot be. Just because, today was September 30th, I decided to randomly use the month and day reference to see of there was more clear evidence of like themes running through equally numbered verses. There is...I never cease to be amazed at the numerical perfection of God's Word. This post shows a compelling pattern found in the Bible's 9:30 verse text.

I've long realized that #39/#93 is strongly related to Israel and the Jews - watch sets of any 9/3 numbered parts of the Bible and you will observe this relationship. A couple of very fascinating examples are; #1 -- the 39 books of the Old Testament -- these books show Jesus is the messiah, but it is not until the 40th book of Matthew that this is clearly explained. Matthew chapter one is declaration to the Jews that Jesus is their LORD.  Example #2 -- To make this #39/#93 example even more compelling, note that Matthew chapter 1 is the 930th (93/39) chapter of the Bible. The 930th chapter of the Bible immediately follows the 929 last chapter of the Old Testament - the last chapter of the 39 books of the Old Testament. I suspect this #39 symbolic association is also related to being in the wilderness 39 "periods/years" and not having quite reached the end of the many times #40 in the Bible is found associated with periods of testing/preparation for knowing God. There's lots more examples of this relationship between the Jews/Israel and #93/39 - you will find some of them in my other blog posts.

More evidence for this #39/#93 relationship - There are just 14 "9:30" verses in the Bible and they all clearly reveal a theme pointing to the Jews knowing, or not knowing, Jesus is LORD. I've rearranged these fourteen verses (out of book order) in a table below so you can evaluate these verses for yourself and observe how clearly this theme appears. As you ponder them -- if you are tempted to dismiss these examples as coincidence, consider that you can find like themes in any chapter verse combination in the Bible -- they are not all so obvious, but if you study them, you can confirm this for any example chapter/verse reference you chose.

Another interesting observation -- Another evidence these verses do in fact refer to Jesus being LORD is the 14 occurances of them in the Bible. #14 is the number for Jesus the King and Redeemer -- the Passover Lamb. See chapter number 14s in the Bible, such as Revelation 14, for good examples of this.

Let these examples penetrate your thinking and enjoy the new total amazement you can realize about the Mighty God we serve...how only a supernatural God could have configured the Bible in this way.

1-14 of Bible's 9:30 versesExplanation
1Exo 9:30 "But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the LORD God."A #93 reference to Israel not "knowing" who the LORD is.
2Neh 9:30 "However, You bore with them for many years, And admonished them by Your Spirit through Your prophets, Yet they would not give ear. Therefore You gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.A #93 reference to Israel not "knowing" who the LORD is.
3
Matt 9:30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them: "See that no one knows about this!"
They realized Jesus was the LORD God. (same theme as same ref in the next chapter.
4
Mrk 9:30 From there they went out and {began} to go through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know about it.
Same chapter and verse (9:30) as the previous chapter and again, the same theme is found,,,They realized Jesus was the LORD God.
5
John 9:30 The man answered and said to them, "Well, here is an amazing thing, that you do not know where He is from, and {yet} He opened my eyes.
The 3rd of 4 gospel 9:30 verses that refers to them not knowing who Jesus is. (see Matthew, Mark 9:30)
6Est 9:30 He sent letters to all the Jews, to the 127 provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, namely, words of peace and truth,Here again, the verse speaks of the Jews needing to be informed about the king. Bible patterns so often show numbers in the text relate to other reference numbers -- note that c9 x v3. = 27 (127). I strongly suspect this is by design.
7
Act 9:30 But when the brethren learned of it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.
Again, a 9:30 verse very consistently speaks of knowing about who the man was.
8
2Kin 9:30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out the window.
When Jezebel learned about "the King" she prepared herself...
9
Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness, even the righteousness which is by faith;
...not as obvious a "knowing" reference but if you ponder the verse, you can sense the related theme
10
Luke 9:30 And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah,
A bit more disguised, but in this verse God was showing Peter, James & John that Jesus is God. They "knew it" when they saw this.
11
Judg 9:30 When Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, his anger burned.
Here again, the theme of learning/knowing a fact is related to the 9:30 theme.
121Chr 9:30 Some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixing of the spices.A bit less obvious, but seems related to a similar theme of 2Kings 9:30 where Jezebel prepared to come before the king.
13
2Chr 9:30 Solomon reigned forty years in Jerusalem over all Israel.
You will have to the related theme for yourself. Don't dismiss all the other examples for a couple you cannot figure out. We can see God's patterns but I don't think we can ever hope to fully understand their complexity.
14
Job 9:30 "If I should wash myself with snow And cleanse my hands with lye,
See reference above, but also seems a similar reference to 2Kings 9:30 where Jezebel was preparing herself to come before the King.

The Bibles's chapter twenty-fours reveal clues to how/when Jesus will make himself known to the Jews

(Biblical numbering used is from the KJV, NIV, NASB or other similarly structured Bibles)

The Bible’s chapter and verse numbers are divinely inspired in the same way God inspired the text. The Bible tells us it is all inspired in 2 Timothy but we just did not realize how literal the text was intended.
2Tim 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
Not only are the Bible’s numbers inspired, but they have symbolic meaning and knowing this meaning provides valuable insights into how to interpret the text.  Because of this perfection in numbering, you can actually get an understanding of God’s number themes by looking at like numbered chapters to find similar themes running through them. When you see a theme that seems to be repeating itself, you are likely seeing evidence of the symbolism around that number. You can do this with any chapter number you like – today I decided to go through chapter number twenty-fours to demonstrate the concept.

I first discovered the symbolism for #24 when, years ago, I realized the 24,000th verse of the Bible was about the “DAY” of the LORD (24 hours) that was in a chapter about that “day” and in verse number 42 (24 in reverse). All by itself, this verse seems compelling evidence only a supernatural God could have numbered the Bible so perfectly. (Note how this is only possible if the Old and New Testaments were originally designed as two parts of one final Word of God)
The 24,000th Bible verse…Matt 24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which “day” your Lord is coming.
The symbolism for the #24 seems to be about the appointed time of the Lord’s return. Chapter twenty-fours always seem to have some reference to the LORD (Jesus) delivering his people (the Jews) as promised. In some cases, this is delivering people into punishment/consequences for sin. (Once you begin to understand number symbolism, you discover how they point to where Jesus himself shows up in the Old Testament).

When you realize this same theme of the LORD delivering his people is found consistently in the Old and New Testaments, it becomes clear as one of many examples that seem to say the Jesus of the New Testament is the LORD of the Old Testament. Chapter 24’s also, most always, have some reference to time or even days (24 hours).

Don’t take my word for these theme ideas - you can ponder them for yourself by reading the chapters. The Following list gives you a good start on seeing this common theme running through the Bible.
  • Genesis 24 - Isaac comes for Rebecca his bride. Isaac represents Jesus (Abraham’s only son taken to be sacrificed)
  • Exodus 24 – The LORD (Jesus) comes down to Mount Sinai to be seen by Moses and the people
  • Numbers 24 – Foretells of the coming messiah –“ A star shall come forth from Jacob “
  • Deuteronomy 24 – The chapter repeats ”remember, you were a slave in Egypt and the LORD delivered you”
  • Joshua 24 – Israel is reminded multiple times by the LORD that he delivered them out of Egypt and from their enemies
  • 1Samuel 24 – verses 4, 10, 18 & 19 exclaim "this is the Day" the LORD gave Saul into David’s hands
  • 2Samuel 24 – The LORD punishes David and Israel with pestilence until the appointed time (day) when he relented and saved those who were left.
  • 2Kings 24 – Is about the day the LORD “delivered” Judah into the hands of the King of Babylon to go into exile (v10)
  • 1Chronicles 24 – As the LORD commanded/promised many years before, “24” Priest/Levite leaders (family heads) were brought  into house of the LORD
  • 2Chronicles 24 (v24) - The LORD destroyed a very great army with a small number of Arameans as judgement for those who turned from the LORD
  • Job 24 – Job laments the appointed days of the wicked that they are not aware are numbered. One day they will be taken away - Job 24:24 …The wicked exalted for a little while and then are gone
  • Psalm 24 -- The return of the LORD..Lift up your heads..and be lifted up..That the King of glory may come in!
  • Proverbs 24 - Be prepared for the day of distress (v10), wicked will stumble in time of calamity(v16), calamity will rise suddenly(v22)
  • Isaiah 24 - Day of the LORD - Isa 24:21 So it will happen in that day, That the LORD will punish the host of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth.
  • Jeremiah 24 - Baskets of good and bad figs compared. God will give the good a heart to know him and will restore them; the bad will receive the sword, famine and pestilence..
  • Ezekiel 24 -  The Day of the LORD. On that very Day (v2,25,26,27) Calamity comes, on that day the Jews "will know that I am the LORD"..
  • Matthew 24 – Again, the 24,000th Bible verse -  Matthew chapter 24 verse 42 – “Be on alert-you don't know the DAY the LORD will return”
  • Luke 24 - The day Jesus came to the Jews..Three days after the crucifixion, The resurrected Jesus came revealing himself to the Jews proving he was God (future of Jesus revealing himself to the Jews)  v13 "behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem"
  • Acts 24 - Paul gives his defense to Felix and his Jewess wife Drusilla, and after hearing of  Jesus righteousness and the judgement to come, appears to have accepted the truth of the Gospel, yet kept Paul loosely imprisoned. (Gospel revealed to the Jews?)
After pondering the contents of the Bible's chapter twenty-fours shown above, consider the possibility that the future day we refer to as "The Day of the LORD" is associated with the number twenty-four and that context associated with this day suggest it is the day Jesus will in a similar way appear before the Jews to reveal himself clearly as their awaited messiah.

89 of the Bible's verse 14's showing #14 is about Jesus the King & Redeemer

I have been studying number symbolism in the Bible for more than 10 years now and have more than 50,000 notes associated with verses of the Bible and the symbolism contained in them. In these studies I've seen the patterns for hundreds of Bible numbers and this article speaks of the symbolism I see related to number 14. I realize it is well "known" that the Bible's chapter and verse numbers were added hundreds of years after the text was written and translated so it is virtually impossible that these numbers might have meaningful relationship to symbolism in the text. But numbers do not lie and patterns can be scientifically discerned and are use for many proofs in our world.

The Bible's numbering demonstrates incredible patterns of symbolism which, if true, tells us only God could have numbered the Bible. How? We can only imagine he somehow caused it to happen - but no matter what history tells us, the patterns are too prolific to be a product of chance. I believe that God has kept these number patterns hidden in these last days and likely may use them as compelling evidence everyone can see, that the Bible (KJV, NIV, NASB and similarly structured Bibles) is the actual Word of God preserved perfectly for us. The numbers not only provide symbolism to help us interpret the text, but also show God has preserved his Word just as he intended.

Number fourteen in the Bible is about Kings and very often about Jesus, our Lord, King & Redeemer...King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Matthew chapter 1 is the first verse of the New Testament and declares to the Jews that Jesus is the promised messiah and mentions the number 14 three times in this single chapter. Passover is the 14th of the month and Jesus represents the Passover Lamb and Jesus is the Lord who passed over the Jews to save them while killing the first born of those not protected by the Blood of the Lamb. There's an abundance of evidence for the Bible's number 14 pointing to Jesus; chapter 14s show this theme as is demonstrated by Revelation 14 where Jesus returns and is found standing on Mount Zion -- You will also find this event written about in Zechariah chapter 14. Also check out Genesis 14, John 14 and other chapter 14s to see for yourself.

To show a consistent set of related examples demonstrating the symbolism of the Bible's (God's) number 14, I've listed 89 verse 14s of the Bible that point very strongly to Jesus the King and Redeemer or to other King type references. These examples should help you see the possibility of Bible number symbolism patterns in the Bible and the possibility of the symbolism of #14.

Whenever you encounter a #14 reference in your Bible study, consider how that reference may be related to Jesus King and Redeemer. In many cases it will add great insight into your study because sometimes you may overlook the message that this was Jesus himself involved in an event or action. Notice the many examples above where verse #14 helps you understand it was actually Jesus Himself active in the passage I.E. In Exodus 3:14 it appears it was actually Jesus who was in the Burning Bush.

The Bible is perfect beyond our wildest comprehension. These examples are not intended to convince you of this miracle in scripture, but to point out the possibility so God/Jesus and The Holy Spirit can show you this for yourself.
