The Bible's 13:13 verses reveal #13 is about men following their own ways and not comprehending God's ways...

I've been writing about the meaning of numbers in the Bible for more than 10 years and I still struggle when I set out to explain that even the numbering of chapter and verses has divine perfection. It is an incredibly impossible statement to believe --- that is, until the preponderance of evidence finally convinces you it cannot be coincidence. Here's another set of compelling evidences that demonstrate the Bible's numbers have a consistent theme and pattern to them and the text they are associated with.

As I've noted in prior posts, themes found in the text of any verse has relationship to its numbering.  The best examples of numbers and their related themes are found in what I refer to as the Bible's hyperverses where a verse's chapter and verse numbers are the same. What I observe seems to demonstrate that when the same number is repeated in relationship to a verse's numbering or numbers in the text, then the theme of that number comes out more strongly in the text. Thus, verses with the same chapter and verse number are great examples to use to determine the God given symbolism of numbers.

In the following examples, I show how the theme running through the Bible's 13:13 verses relate to symbolism/themes of; confusion, misunderstanding, foolishness or different types of turning from God and living in the ways of men. Below are 20 of the Bible's 30 verses with both a chapter and verse number of 13 -- Observe how they so consistently reveal this theme. I've left out 10 of these 13:13 verses to help focus on the most obvious examples, but if you examine even those 10 carefully, the same theme will emerge. This theme is also revealed to various degrees in other parts of scripture related to 13. Look at chapter number 13s as well as verses with thirteen in the text for more support of this theme. One of my most favorite places to confirm my comprehension of number symbolism is to look at the nnth thousanth verses of the Bible (31 in total) and the 13,000th Bible verse is no disappointment -- Job 6:21 says "Indeed, you have now become such, You see a terror and are afraid". The same theme of confusion, foolishness, wickedness surfaces in this 13,000th verse.

Observe for yourself...

Observe the underlined text in the following 13:13 verse examples and take your time to ponder if this consistency of theme is a curious example of coincidence, or if it might be evidence right before your eyes that God Almighty alone could be the only explanation for this numbering perfection...

Gen 13:13 the men of Sodom were wicked exceedingly and sinners against the LORD.

Exo 13:13 every first offspring of a donkey you shall redeem..but if you do not redeem it, then you shall break its neck…

Lev 13:13 the priest shall look, and behold, if the leprosy has covered all his body…

Deu 13:13 ..worthless men seduced the inhabitants of their city, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods…

1Sam 13:13 .."You have acted foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God…

2Sam 13:13 ...you will be like one of the fools in Israel…

2Chr 13:13 But Jeroboam had set an ambush. Israel was in front and the ambush was behind them.

Prov 13:13 The one who despises the word will be in debt to it..

 Look at other verses in the Bible with like chapter and verse for more confirmation...  A favorite example of mine is the Bible's 14:14 verses that speak to Jesus, the King and Redeemer...

1Kin 14:14 "Moreover, the LORD will raise up for Himself a king over Israel who will cut off the house of Jeroboam this day and from now on.

Rev 14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud {was} one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.

Isa 14:14 'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.'

Exo 14:14 "The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent."

John 14:14 "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do {it.}

Num 14:14 and they will tell {it} to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, O LORD, are in the midst of this people, for You, O LORD, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

Is it possible God even numbered his Word...consider what he has told us...

Jer 32:27 "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?"

Isa 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9 "For {as} the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Job 11:7 "Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?

Mrk 10:27 Looking at them, Jesus *said, "With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."

Luke 1:37 "For nothing will be impossible with God."

Luke 18:27 But He said, "The things that are impossible with people are possible with God."

Gen 18:14 "Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son."

Discovering  Patterns in Chapter and Verse Designations

It has taken me more than ten years and 10,000 hours of Bible study to get to the point I'm at today in my understanding of Biblical numerics. This discovery did not occur to me as some overnight vision, but instead occurred a tiny step at a time starting back in 1999. To this day I'm not absolutely sure what I saw 10+ years ago that made me take notice of numbers, but this is one of the first curiosities that caught my imagination...

Back in 1999, in an attempt to understand the gospels better, I began a deep and somewhat slow study of them. I would take and read a chapter many times over a 2-3 week period and would not move on to the next chapter before I felt I sufficiently understood as much as I was able from the current one. I probably read and went through each chapter 50 times thinking about every verse and even every word in them. I spent around 30-40 hours on each chapter. In this process, I one day ran across a curious discovery...

"The Eye is the Lamp of the Body"....what did that mean?

I've always questioned my understanding of the eye being the Lamp of the Body. It was a verse I had read and had preached to me many times, but I was never quite sure I understood it well enough to teach it to others. In my study of Luke 12, I noticed (or God showed me) the relationship between the verses of Luke 11:33-37 and 12:33-37. Five verses that lined up on the same verse numbers in chapters next to each other. Each of these five verses helped me understand the counterpart verse in the other chapter. In my mind they match up perfectly and when examining them together, they illuminate each other. At first I had simply noticed the similarity in the text and did not notice their verse numbers--but then I went to take notes about what I observed and I was very surprised to see they shared the same verse numbers.  Of course, this could have been coincidence, but over a period of years, it turned out to be one of hundreds of little clues that finally led me to want to study Biblical numbers more. Notice the contrast in these verses -- it is not we that invites Jesus to recline at our table, but Jesus will have us recline at his table... Luke 11:37 Now when He had spoken, a Pharisee asked Him to have lunch with him; and He went in, and reclined at the table. Luke 12:37 "Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. Verses in Luke 12 directly correspond and help explain corresponding verses in Luke 11. When you study each set in context of one another you can see the picture of Jesus being the Lamp of the Body and we are to have his lamp inside us (Holy Spirit?) when he comes for us. The strongest clues for these sets of verses intentionally lining up is verse 37 and 38.  First, 37 contrasts how the Pharisees asked Jesus to recline vs how Jesus will come ask us to recline. Then in 38, the Pharisees were surprised when Jesus did not wash to be ready for the meal vs how when Jesus comes those who are ready will not be surprised. The following table compares these two sets of verses side by side...
Luke 11:33 No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in may see the light.	May also correspond to Luke 12:33, but only shown here as a help to put it all in context.
Luke 11:34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body is also full of light. But when they are bad, your body is also full of darkness.	Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  (This helps explain what the lamp of the body is. It’s our treasure, whatever we make it to be. It should be God’s truth and  Jesus)
Luke 11:35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. (be actively seeking the darkness in your heart and doing the things necessary to grow and remove the darkness.)	Luke 12:35 "Be dressed and ready for service and keep your lamps burning, “ (both verses give orders to continue to work to keep God’s truth and light in our lives. This is deep, heart truth, not just reading his word, but to obey it.)
Luke 11:36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you. (difficult to comprehend the meaning until you read Luke 12:36 – Jesus comes to shine on us--Amazing!)	Luke 12:36 Like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can immediately open the door for him.  (his light comes and shines on us, that is, He does)
Luke 11:37 When Jesus has finished speaking , a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table.  (Jesus finished speaking – All the talk was done, time for Jesus to come…, Pharisee was doing the inviting to Recline – Wrong!  The word  “reclining” is not a coincidence between these two parts of scripture. )	Luke 12:37 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come wait on them. (Jesus invites us to recline at the table. We are not the ones to do the inviting of him to come to us. We accept his invitation).
11:38 But the Pharisee, noticing that Jesus did not wash before the meal was surprised. (The Pharisee who was judging Jesus’ acceptability to him, will be surprised).	Luke 12:38 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. (will be good, salvation…they will not be surprised)

The discovery of The Bible's Redemption Pattern and Numeric map involved literally 1000's of small observations that all continually pointed to the existence of patterns between numbers and text. None of the examples by themselves could be considered proof, but the preponderance of so many of them demanded only one conclusion -- God had inspired book, chapter and verse numbers and lined up the text of scripture such that they may illuminate each other. Only a supernatural God could have developed the Bible with this incomprehendible perfection

Bible's #36 relates to 6-6-6 and great sin -- Verse evidence..

We think #666 in the Bible is only mentioned in one verse...

Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

...but evidence for the number association between great sin and the number 666 is found throughout scripture...you just have to know what to look for. Rather than try to explain this number relationship in this post, I think it can more easily be observed through example. The verses listed below are related to the #36  in God's Word and this number is directly related to #666 (three sixes/36). These 24 of the Bible's "3:6" verses all point to events of great sin, as do many others not shown here. No other list of the Bible's like referenced verses has so many references to sin of this magnitude.This can't be coincidence.

One more thing...the first of the Bible's 3:6 verses that show great sin (#666) is Genesis 3:6 where Eve ate the forbidden fruit and sin entered into the world (an amazing evidence in itself). The preponderance of these examples associated with the sin of mankind is too great to happen as coincidence. It is just one more set of proofs for the perfect numbering and contents of God's Word.

1.      Gen 3:6 …she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband.. and he ate.

2.      Exo 3:6 Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

3.      Deu 3:6 "We utterly destroyed them…utterly destroying the men, women and children…

4.      Judg 3:6 ..they took their daughters..as wives, and gave their..daughters to their sons…served their gods.

5.      Est 3:6 Haman sought to destroy all the Jews..

6.      Job 3:6 "As for that night, let darkness seize it…

7.      Jer 3:6 ….LORD said…"Have you seen what faithless Israel did? …she was a harlot there.

8.      Lam 3:6 In dark places He has made me dwell, Like those who have long been dead.

9.      Psa 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands..Who have set themselves against me..

10.  Dan 3:6 "… whoever does not fall down and worship shall…be cast into..blazing fire."

11.  Amo 3:6 …If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it?

12.  Mic 3:6 …darkness for you--without divination…the day will become dark over them.

13.  Nahm 3:6 "I will throw filth on you And make you vile…

14.  Hab 3:6 He stood and surveyed the earth…the perpetual mountains..shattered, The..hills collapsed..

No one set of examples I present regarding the perfection of God's Word is evidence enough to prove it is real. But the preponderance of evidences presented in these pages overwhelmingly demonstrate the Bible is perfect beyond imagination. Given what we know about how the Bible was written, this DNA like perfection is absolutely impossible. When we can no longer explain away what the numerical perfection points to...the only explanation for how it exists is GOD!

The Bibles's chapter twenty-fours reveal clues to how/when Jesus will make himself known to the Jews

(Biblical numbering used is from the KJV, NIV, NASB or other similarly structured Bibles)

The Bible’s chapter and verse numbers are divinely inspired in the same way God inspired the text. The Bible tells us it is all inspired in 2 Timothy but we just did not realize how literal the text was intended.

2Tim 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

Not only are the Bible’s numbers inspired, but they have symbolic meaning and knowing this meaning provides valuable insights into how to interpret the text.  Because of this perfection in numbering, you can actually get an understanding of God’s number themes by looking at like numbered chapters to find similar themes running through them. When you see a theme that seems to be repeating itself, you are likely seeing evidence of the symbolism around that number. You can do this with any chapter number you like – today I decided to go through chapter number twenty-fours to demonstrate the concept.

I first discovered the symbolism for #24 when, years ago, I realized the 24,000th verse of the Bible was about the “DAY” of the LORD (24 hours) that was in a chapter about that “day” and in verse number 42 (24 in reverse). All by itself, this verse seems compelling evidence only a supernatural God could have numbered the Bible so perfectly. (Note how this is only possible if the Old and New Testaments were originally designed as two parts of one final Word of God)

The 24,000th Bible verse…Matt 24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which “day” your Lord is coming.

The symbolism for the #24 seems to be about the appointed time of the Lord’s return. Chapter twenty-fours always seem to have some reference to the LORD (Jesus) delivering his people (the Jews) as promised. In some cases, this is delivering people into punishment/consequences for sin. (Once you begin to understand number symbolism, you discover how they point to where Jesus himself shows up in the Old Testament).

When you realize this same theme of the LORD delivering his people is found consistently in the Old and New Testaments, it becomes clear as one of many examples that seem to say the Jesus of the New Testament is the LORD of the Old Testament. Chapter 24’s also, most always, have some reference to time or even days (24 hours).

Don’t take my word for these theme ideas - you can ponder them for yourself by reading the chapters. The Following list gives you a good start on seeing this common theme running through the Bible.

• Genesis 24 - Isaac comes for Rebecca his bride. Isaac represents Jesus (Abraham’s only son taken to be sacrificed) 
• Exodus 24 – The LORD (Jesus) comes down to Mount Sinai to be seen by Moses and the people
• Numbers 24 – Foretells of the coming messiah –“ A star shall come forth from Jacob “
• Deuteronomy 24 – The chapter repeats ”remember, you were a slave in Egypt and the LORD delivered you”
• Joshua 24 – Israel is reminded multiple times by the LORD that he delivered them out of Egypt and from their enemies
• 1Samuel 24 – verses 4, 10, 18 & 19 exclaim "this is the Day" the LORD gave Saul into David’s hands
• 2Samuel 24 – The LORD punishes David and Israel with pestilence until the appointed time (day) when he relented and saved those who were left. 
• 2Kings 24 – Is about the day the LORD “delivered” Judah into the hands of the King of Babylon to go into exile (v10)
• 1Chronicles 24 – As the LORD commanded/promised many years before, “24” Priest/Levite leaders (family heads) were brought  into house of the LORD 
• 2Chronicles 24 (v24) - The LORD destroyed a very great army with a small number of Arameans as judgement for those who turned from the LORD
• Job 24 – Job laments the appointed days of the wicked that they are not aware are numbered. One day they will be taken away - Job 24:24 …The wicked exalted for a little while and then are gone 
• Psalm 24 -- The return of the LORD..Lift up your heads..and be lifted up..That the King of glory may come in! 
• Proverbs 24 - Be prepared for the day of distress (v10), wicked will stumble in time of calamity(v16), calamity will rise suddenly(v22)
• Isaiah 24 - Day of the LORD - Isa 24:21 So it will happen in that day, That the LORD will punish the host of heaven on high, And the kings of the earth on earth.
• Jeremiah 24 - Baskets of good and bad figs compared. God will give the good a heart to know him and will restore them; the bad will receive the sword, famine and pestilence.. 
• Ezekiel 24 -  The Day of the LORD. On that very Day (v2,25,26,27) Calamity comes, on that day the Jews "will know that I am the LORD"..
• Matthew 24 – Again, the 24,000th Bible verse -  Matthew chapter 24 verse 42 – “Be on alert-you don't know the DAY the LORD will return” 
• Luke 24 - The day Jesus came to the Jews..Three days after the crucifixion, The resurrected Jesus came revealing himself to the Jews proving he was God (future of Jesus revealing himself to the Jews)  v13 "behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem"
• Acts 24 - Paul gives his defense to Felix and his Jewess wife Drusilla, and after hearing of  Jesus righteousness and the judgement to come, appears to have accepted the truth of the Gospel, yet kept Paul loosely imprisoned. (Gospel revealed to the Jews?)

After pondering the contents of the Bible's chapter twenty-fours shown above, consider the possibility that the future day we refer to as "The Day of the LORD" is associated with the number twenty-four and that context associated with this day suggest it is the day Jesus will in a similar way appear before the Jews to reveal himself clearly as their awaited messiah.

The 70 year/70 weeks prophecy found in the 770th chapter - Jerimiah 25

It is such an impossible human thought that the Bible's chapter and verse references can somehow be tied perfectly to the text, that we have a difficult time accepting such a possibility is real. The Bibles verses about the 70 weeks prophecy from Jerimiah 25 demonstrate the preciseness of God's Word and are strong evidence that, like books and the text of scripture are inspired, so also are God assigned book, chapter and verse numbers.

--Note that one of the things that further validates this evidence for inspired numbers is that it is located in one of the very most important Bible prophecies. Coincidences in numbers can be found, but to find such a strong set of relating numbers in one of the most well read parts of the Bible seems good evidence God intended for us to find these numbers. They not only validate and help interpret scripture, but also serve to glorify God and his precious word. (see also Daniel 9:24-25 for related 70 weeks prophecy text.)

Jerimiah 25 is the 770th chapter of the Bible and the entire chapter is centered around the famous 70 week prophecy. Verses 11 and 12 specifically mention the 70 weeks. This number/text association is compelling enough but there are several other numbers associated with these verses that confirm how the Bible's inspired verse references line up perfectly with the text.

Jer 25:11-12 'This whole land will be a desolation and a horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. v12 'Then it will be when seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,' declares the LORD, 'for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it an everlasting desolation.(NASB)

Evidence for verse text/verse reference relationships:

• 70 weeks prophecy--Most compelling is that the 770th chapter of the Bible just happens to be specificaly about the well known 70 weeks prophecy
• 21/777 Sanctification--Jerimiah is the 21st **full Old Testament book (21=7+7+7=777) and contains the 777th Bible chapter (Jerimiah 32) regarding how God will never abandon Israel and will one day restore them. Jerimiah being the 21st book and thus generally associated with number seven also supports association with the 70 week prophecy.
• 24 Day of the Lord--Jerimiah is also the 24th **traditional Old Testament book number and 24 is a number for coming judgment as in the Day of the Lord (Matt 24). This being the 24th book supports the judgment both to Israel and the nations found prophsied in the book. Note that Daniel 9:24 also specifically mentions the 70 week prophecy. Another relationship to 24.
• 11-Warnings--11 is a number for warnings and verse eleven warns of Israels impending horror so the number of this verse appropriately connects with the text.
• 12-Judgment--12 is a number for judgment and verse twelve tells of how God will punish Babylon--again, the verse number lines up with the theme of the text.
• Chapter 25--In Hebrew and Greek gematria digits are added together to make meaningful numbers so it is likely no coincidence the digits of chapter number 25 add up to 7 in this 770th chapter about the 70 weeks. The level of the number's perfection is beyond imagination and here we see evidence that every number associates with the text in one way or the other. Also supporting the importance of chapter 25 is the reference to the 70 weeks in Daniel 9:25.
• 599th verse--Verse 11 is the 599th verse of Jerimiah and 99 is most often found associated with major events and endings such as the Rapture before Jesus returns to judge. Verse 11 speaks of 70 years of captivity which in this case is leading to a desolation coming at the end of the captivity thus the association with 99. Daniel chapter 9 about the 70 weeks also demonstrates a relationship to number nine.
• 600th verse--Verse 12 is the 600th (100x6) verse of Jerimiah and numbers on hundreds and thousands boundaries are associated with major events; the beginning of a new time; or new series of events. Number six is about sin, repentence and consequences of sin so 6x100 or 600 is appropriately assigned this verse as it speaks of the punishment of Babylon for their iniquity.

There are other interesting numbers for these verses that are a bit more difficult to explain but the above associations with the text of these verses reveal how precisely God has structured and preserved the Bible such that numbers and text fit together in a perfect way that allows us to validate, interpret, cross reference and understand God's Ten part plan of redemption.  --- more related information at http://www.amazingword.com/

**There are two valid numerical counts of Bible Books which both appear God intended. The traditional 66 count we all are well aware of and a 57 count. The 57 count is simply arrived at by counting all split books such as 1/2Kings and 1/2Corinthians as a single book. Number usage patterns show the 57 count used more often for positive type number references and the 66 count for negative references.
