How the Bible's chapter and verse references relate directly to numbers and number symbolism in the text…

Use this list of Bible verses as a set of evidences that the Bible’s chapter and verse numberings are divinely inspired.  Keep it with your Bible as a reminder to watch the Bible’s numbering during your own study. These examples demonstrate the correspondence of numbers in verse text to chapter and verse numbering.)

Gen 7:2 "You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female; (Chapter and verse number are only numbers found in the text)

Gen 7:4 "For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made." (Verse ref 7:4 and after 7 days it rained for 40 days)

Gen 18:30 Then he said, "Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?" And He said, "I will not do it if I find thirty there." (It is interesting number 30 is found twice in this thirtieth verse)

Num 10:33 Thus they set out from the mount of the LORD three days' journey, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD journeying in front of them for the three days, to seek out a resting place for them. (ver 33 and three found in text twice)

1Kin 6:2 As for the house which King Solomon built for the LORD, its length was sixty cubits and its width twenty cubits and its height thirty cubits. ()

2Kin 2:24 When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number. (Interesting the text is precise in saying 42 lads were torn up by two bears and these are the same as chapter and verse ref)

2Kin 23:31 Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. (the verse reference of 23:3 are the exact numbers found in verse text)

1Chr 7:11 All these were sons of Jediael, according to the heads of their fathers' households, 17,200 mighty men of valor, who were ready to go out with the army to war. (An example where numbers can be added and have related meaning – 7:11 like 73 and relates to 17,200)

Song 6:8 "There are sixty queens and eighty concubines, And maidens without number; (Very specific numbers found in text are also represented in the verse text)

Prov 6:16 There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: (verse ref 6:16 relate to numbers six and seven (6+1))

Isa 6:2 Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. (chapter and  verse found in text)

John 2:6 Now there were six stone waterpots set there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing twenty or thirty gallons each. (verse reference of 6 and 2 in the text and I suspect the numbering “2 or 3” relate to #23 which is a number related to God in our midst – “Where two or three are gathered…”. This was a miracle that demonstrated God was in their midst.)

Rev 14:3-4 And they *sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. Rev 14:4 These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. (Rev 14:4 (144) is the specific description of who the 144,000 were. We know this by the reference to them in verse 14:3)

Act 23:23 And he called to him two of the centurions and said, "Get two hundred soldiers ready by the third hour of the night to proceed to Caesarea, with seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen." (#23 it is curious how the text seems worded in a very specific way that happens to match both chapter and verse number 23.)

Luke 12:52 for from now on five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. (Note combinations of 5, 2 and 3 in verse ref – 1+2=3)

1Tim 5:9 A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, (Chapter and verse fit together perfectly in many ways. Patterns like this are so prevalent it becomes difficult to dismiss them. A ref to less than 60 related to a verse with ref number that together makes 59)

Rev 17:7 And the angel said to me, "Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. (Does not seem coincidence that the chapter about the beast with 7 heads and 10 horns is the 17th chapter--10+7=17)

Dan 12:6 …"How long will it be until the end..?"…V7  ..the man dressed in linen… it would be for a time, times, and half a time…(The question asked in Dan 12:6 is answered immediately in v7 – “times, time & ½ a time” is 3 ½ years, 42 months or 1260 days—which corresponds to the verse reference of  12:6. See also Rev 12:6=1260 days)

Rev 12:6 Then the woman fled.. to a place prepared by God..to be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. (1260 days corresponds to verse ref 12:6 – see also Dan 12:6-7)

Gen  8:18 The remnant of 8 came out of the ark --So Noah went out, and his sons (Shem, Ham, Japheth) and his wife and his sons' wives with him. (#8 relates to those marked for God or “the Godly”—In Genesis 8 the flood abated from the land and saved the Godly)
