The Bible's Like Referenced Chapter 10 verse 1 verses reveal a common theme of powerful conclusion statements

I have not written about the Bible's like referenced verses in awhile so I thought it was time to provide another example of this powerful Bible study tool. See the previous blog post for more information about Like Referenced verses. Then examine the below examples for another set of compelling evidence this powerful pattern exists in scripture

LINK: The Bible's Like Referenced Verses

The Bible's 10:1 verses point to powerful events in scripture

God's number ten is about last things, ends of things, final statements, orders, or concluding directions. There are 36 Bible verses for chapter 10 and verse 1. I've provided a list of seventeen of those verses below and highlighted some key parts of each of them that reveal how they fit the pattern for #10.

Note the pattern in these verses that reveal they reflect culminating statements of conclusions or last things that happened before the beginning of a new series of related events.

Throughout this Blog you will find many other evidences of the pattern of Like Referenced Verses. They not only reveal the DNA-like perfection in the Bible's numbering but also help us see common themes running across commonly numbered scriptures.

Eighty new chapter divisions discovered in The Holy Bible. New teachings from God's Word

The Numbered Bible - A Strange Idea

If you are unfamiliar with my writings this message will at first seem like it's coming from a well- meaning, but foolish student of God's Word. Fortunately, I don't feel a burden to convince any readers that what I say is true. Instead, I simply point out observations and evidence I believe is impossible to deny and let those who look at it decide the value for themselves. I've never before written about this layer of messages in scripture so I'm pretty sure the discovery will be new to you as well.

Layers in the Bible

We are all aware of sections of the Bible that contain messages within them. The largest section we are all aware of is that each book of the Bible has a message for us. At this level of sections, we have 66 messages for us. Next, we have chapters within books and each chapter has a message for us. That's another 1,189 different sections of scripture we can study. At even deeper levels we can find sections of scripture in chapters and books that have specific message for us. These sections often even cross chapter boundaries.  You might know of more "sections" of scripture that contain messages. But there are more divisions of scripture hidden below the surface and we can be sure they are God given because he as divided them up for us.

If you study scripture for awhile, you will discover that that there are many layers of messages that overlay one another. If you had a way to peel one layer of scripture out of the way, another layer would appear. That is, if you removed all book and chapter divisions from the Bible, you might find entirely different divisions beneath them. In other posts I have explained one layer of 1000-verse divisions that make up 31 different sections of the Holy Bible. This is 31 one-thousand verse sections of the Bible's 31,102 verses. Of course, they are the same verses as before but seeing their new beginning and end points reveals new messages.

See post "The Most-Compelling-Evidence-For a Supernatural Bible" to learn about the Bible's 31, 1000-verse divisions of the Bible.

Of course, no human could write such a book, but over my almost 20 years of pouring over the Bible's patterns, I am 100% convinced these God-defined sections are real. Here, I'll describe a set of message divisions in scripture that are designated by counting every 100th set of verses in the New Testament. I've done the counting for you and below I've provided the first verse of every 100 section of verses in the NT.

7,956 NT Verses Make Up 80 of a New Type of Chapter Divisions

There 7,956 verses in the Holy Bible's New Testament. (BTW, I refer to the Holy Bible to differentiate it from other books in the world that have decided to declare themselves as a bible. There is only one Holy Bible, written by our supernatural God. I use the word supernatural to indicate it was written by an intelligence that is outside our known world/universe.)  These 7,956 verses make up 80 different century-type sections of the NT.

I'm not going to try to explain how each of these sections compose aa separate set of messages to us in scripture. Instead, for this first introduction to them, I invite readers to consider the first verse of each of these divisions as if it was the first verse of a numbered "chapter" level in the Bible. Take a moment to think about how each of these might start their own layer of meaning. Imagine that the first and last verses in a section are bookends to a message. You will find that the first verse or so will often introduce the message in the section. Trying to ignore the messages you already know about these same scriptures, read the section with a open mind to some other aspect of these verses that come together to communicate to us.

Just looking at the first verse of every 100-verse section gives strong evidence these one-hundred verse divisions mark significant break-points in the New Testament.,
For the first look at these sections, I suggest looking at these 100th verses to notice how they most often make a point or create some sort of transition in the scripture text. Often, they point out a significant event where something is happening. Even, without examining the other verses I think you can see that these 100th verses of the New Testament are special. Any very importantly, they are not arbitrary verses I've taken out of scripture. They are common in that they each the first of a 100-verse section of the Bible. God made it that way.

One day, I believe we will all be looking at Bible's that contain many more numbers in them that point out the DNA like complexity of God's Word. Sometimes I wonder if God will not generally reveal them to his people until we are in his kingdom. Can you imagine, when we arrive, the first thing we might be given is a new copy of his Numbered Holy Bible with instructions that our study of scripture has just begun.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Look at the 100 section verses below to consider them as significant milestones in God's Word.

I've highlighted a few of these verses as some of the best examples showing how the 100th verses seem to begin a new direction or intersection in scripture. The number at the left is the count of verses in the New Testament.

Not for you today?

I realize this post may represent a new and incomprehensible, if not unbelievable, possibility in God's Word. Never-the-less, I feel it is something I needed to write down for those coming behind me. If it's too wild a thought for you, consider saving it away for some future day when something might prompt you to consider again the possibility.

God Bless you,
Norm

The Bible's Like Referenced verses clarify and embellish the scriptures (1:44)

The Evidence of Like-Referenced Verses

See also post: Compelling evidence for biblical inerrancy - Like referenced verses 1:14

One of the many ways you can confirm for yourself the inerrancy of Scripture is to examine any set of like referenced verses in the Bible looking for a similar theme running through them. I find most often that about 33% have a very clear related theme, another 33% have a somewhat clear theme and then the remaining ones have a common theme that's a bit more difficult to discern.

FINDING THE COMMON THEME

When looking at a set of like referenced verses, very often there are two to three that are strikingly similar in theme that will get you started in determining the common theme for the set. Sometimes you have to look at surrounding verses to understand the context of a of any single verse you're looking at. Once you become confident like referenced verse pattern exist, you will worry less about a couple of verses that don't seem to fit the pattern. Like any other scripture study, God always leaves us with lots of room to dig for deeper truths in his word.

HOW COMMON THEMES CONFIRM BIBLICAL INERRANCY

Here's some of the ways that like referenced verse similarities help confirm the inerrancy of the Bible:
  • VERY CLEAR THEMES: 100% of the time there is a similar theme in more than half the verses.
  • LITTLE POSSIBILITY OF COINCIDENCE: You will notice how the themes are very specific and not likely to be a product of chance. Since the numbering of the verse set relates to the contents of the theme, it removes doubt that the theme is just a product of your imagination or chance. These are God defined themes and numbering.
  • CONSISTENT ACROSS OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS: The themes run across the old and new Testaments declaring that this pattern exists across the entire volume of the Bible. The Old and New Testaments are two parts of a single word of God.
  • CHAPTER/VERSE NUMBER SYMBOLISM RELATES TO THEME: The numbering of the chapter and verse fits with the theme that runs through the set. In the following set of "1:44" verses we can see the number 14 which relates to Kings and Jesus the King.
  • THEME UNDERSTANDING HELPS VERSE INTERPRETATION: We find that by understanding the theme, it helps us to more clearly see how it applies to other verses with the same chapter and verse.
Note: In any of God's patterns there is both a negative and positive meaning to every theme. For example, in the following sets of verses, some are about being in the presence of the king while others are about not being in the presence of the king. Numbers and patterns have both positive and negative associations.

THE BIBLES LIKE-REFERENCED 1:44 VERSES

Following are explanations for the Bible's 1:44 like referenced verses. These are all 7 of the Bible's "1:44" verses.

  • Luke 1:44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (John the Baptist reacting to the presence of Jesus)
  • 1Kings 1:44 And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king's mule: (Riding in announcing Solomon as the new king)
  • John 1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. (Jesus finding Philip saying "follow me")
  • Mark 1:44 And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. (The healed leper being told not to announce what Jesus did, but he did so anyway)
  • 1Chronicles 1:44 And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
  • Numbers 1:44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers. (stating that Moses and Aaron were then God's chosen leaders of Israel)
  • Deuteronomy 1:44 And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. (The LORD telling them how he had told them not to go - "I am not among you")

For further Study - The count of like referenced verses has meaning

It is worth mentioning, I am convinced even the count of verses with the same chapter and verse reference has meaning. There is a total of seven 1:44 verses in the Bible. I don't believe this is an accident but it's not now obvious to me how it fits the patterns. One of the best evidences of this is the count of the Bible's 22:22 like-referenced verses - There are 22 of them. Number 22 is symbolic of Jesus, the suffering servant. An example is Ezekiel 22:22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you. Another is -- Luke 22:22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!

Concluding

If you study the Bible's like referenced verses you will become more convinced than ever that the Bible is the God-Breathed word of God. Start by studying the Bible's 3:16 verses for some great surprises:
  • John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
  • 1John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
  • Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
  • 2Cor 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
  • 1Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
  • 2The 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
